Hey Zengarmy,
This week's Music Mondayz is a really tough one for me —
I have to choose 5 songs out of 13 of my favorite songs!
Nonetheless, I still managed to boil everything down to five
songs that I really enjoyed listening to (including both lyrics
& melody) last week, which I thought you guys might enjoy.
Whilst putting together all of the 5 songs, I really wanted to
make sure that the listening experience is enjoyable, hence
I ordered them in such a way that if you listen to all of the 5
songs in an ascending order, the listening experience will be
enhanced, compared to if you listen to the songs randomly.
Also, side note, I'm ALSO really proud of how diverse today's
Music Mondayz is, as it includes a variety of music genres, yay!
So, without further ado, here are 5 songs I've been obsessed with
last week, in which I hope you'll be enjoying them as much as I do!
Shawn Mendes - Mercy
The background beats in this song sounds QUITE A LOT
like his previous big hit "Stitches" — which, if you don't
believe me, try to hum/sing "Stitches" while this song is
playing — IT FITS! Anyhow, I'm not complaining though,
I still fell in love with this song the instance I heard it.

You've got a hold of me
Don't even know your power
I stand a hundred feet
But I fall when I'm around you
Show me an open door
Then you go and slam it on me
I can't take anymore
I'm saying baby
Please have mercy on me
Take it easy on my heart
Even though you don't mean to hurt me
You keep tearing me apart
Would you please have mercy, mercy on my heart
Would you please have mercy, mercy on my heart
I'd drive through the night
Just to be near you baby
Heart old and testified
Tell me that I'm not crazy
I'm not asking for a lot
Just that you're honest with me
My pride Is all I got
I'm saying baby
Please have mercy on me
Take it easy on my heart
Even though you don't mean to hurt me
You keep tearing me apart
Would you please have mercy on me
I'm a puppet on your string
And even though you got good intentions
I need you to set me free
Would you please have mercy, mercy on my heart
Would you please have mercy, mercy on my heart
Consuming all the air inside my lungs
Ripping all the skin from off my bones
I'm prepared to sacrifice my life
I would gladly do it twice
Consuming all the air inside my lungs
Ripping all the skin from off my bones
I'm prepared to sacrifice my life
I would gladly do it twice
I'm begging you for mercy, mercy
I'm begging you, begging you please baby
I'm begging you for mercy, mercy
Oh, I'm begging you, I'm begging you, yeah
Galantis - Runaway (U & I)

Think I can fly, think I can fly when I'm with U
My arms are wide, catching fire as the wind blows
I know that I'm rich enough for pride,
I see a billion dollars in your eyes
Even if we’re strangers til we die
I wanna run away
I wanna run away
Anywhere out this place
I wanna run away
Just U and I, I, I, I, I
U and I, I, I, I, I
U and I, I, I, I, I
U and I, I, I, I, I
Just U and I
I wanna run
Chase the morning sun when I'm with U
Give it all away
Catching fire as the wind blows
I know that I'm rich enough for pride,
I see a billion dollars in your eyes
Even if we’re strangers til we die

My first day on Earth
I fell into your eyes,
Looking how our galaxies collide.
Every colour of the spectrum,
Every star up in the sky,
The planet is a lawn for you and I.
I've known you since the dawn of time,
Between flames burning bright,
And I can't believe that I,
I finally found you here.
Cause nothing is better
Than you and I together.
I just wanna' stay until the morning sun.
Laying here forever
You and I together.
I just wanna' stay until the morning sun.
I just wanna' stay until the morning sun.
I just wanna' stay until the morning sun.
My first day on Earth
You're saying me it's soon.
Forever won't be long enough with you.
And I'll never let you go.
I'll never say goodbye.
Together for eternity, oh.
You and I will be fine.
We belong together.
My first day on Earth
I fell into your eyes,
Looking how our galaxies collide.
Dodie Clark - 6/10
This is an original song written by a YouTuber named Dodie Clark,
which I really really really LOVE both the lyrics and the melody
of this song! Dodie wrote this song to describe her social anxiety.

I feel like a six out of ten
I gotta get up early tomorrow again
What goes on behind the words?
Is there pity for the plain girl?
Can you see the panic inside?
I'm making you uneasy aren't I?
What goes on behind the words?
Is there pity for the plain girl?
I'll close my mouth, I won't say a word
A nod of pity for the plain girl.
I know that you don't want me here
Oh I'll just call a taxi, I gotta be up early tomorrow again.
What goes on behind the words?
Is there pity for the plain girl?
I'll close my mouth, I won't say a word
A nod of pity for the plain girl.
OneRepublic - Kids
To be honest, this song took me a few listens before I finally
fall in love with the rhythm of this song — once you're hooked,
you'll be replaying this song for the ENTIRE DAY! I think this song
is a good choice for when you're on a road trip with your besties!

Days when
We'd fight, we'd fight 'til I would give in
Yeah, perfect disasters
We were reaching, reaching for the rafters
And on most of the days we were searching for ways
To get up and get out of the town that we were raised,
yeah, Cause we were done
I remember, we were sleeping in cars
We were searching for OZ
We were burning cigars
With white plastics tips 'til we saw the sun
And we said crazy things like
I refuse to look back thinking days were better
Just because they're younger days
I don't know what's 'round the corner
Way I feel right now I swear we'll never change
Back when we were kids
Swore we would never die
You and me were kids
Swear that we'll never die
Lights down
And we drive and we're drivin' just to get out
Yeah, perfect disasters
Yeah we were swinging, swinging from the rafters
Hey, we were dancing in cars
We were looking for ours
We were naming the stars
After people we knew 'til we had to go
And we were saying things like
Nights when we kept dancing
Changing all our plans and
Making every day a holiday
Feel the years start burning
City lights they're turning
Something 'bout this feels the same
Back when we were kids
Swore we would never die
You and me were kids
Swear that we'll never die
I refuse to look back thinking days were better
Just because they're younger days
I don't know what's 'round the corner
Way I feel right now I swear we'll never change
You and me were kids
That's all for this week's Music Mondayz!
